Tim Donar Exhibition

August 1 - 31, 2008
Photographer Tim Donar of Conway will exhibit a collection of fine art canvas prints of the Gardens in the Magnolia room the month of August. The work, spanning nearly four years, reflects seasonal images from
the Garden.

Donar is a member of the Conway League of Artists and
the Little Rock Outdoor Photography Club with works displayed at the Gardens' Gift shop, Petit Jean Mather Lodge, Conway Regional Surgery Center, ReMax of Conway, Something Brewing in Conway, and 5x7 shows in Austin, TX.

Along with garden photographs, images of Arkansas
scenery in black and white are included in the display.

Exploring the intricate makings of a beautiful garden is the aim of a series of free workshops being held in the Gardens' Magnolia Room through November.

The workshop is free of charge to GWG members or those previously registered as volunteers at the Gardens. The public will be subject to Garden Admission fees, which are $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors. Space is limited. Register today by calling the Gardens’ administration office at (501) 262-9300 or (800) 366-4664. Don't forget to bring a sack lunch!

Tuesday Tea - "Razorback Tea"

September 9, 2008
Get in the Razorback spirit during this hog-wild tea party! We'll celebrate Arkansas' team with specialty teas, gourmet scones, finger sandwiches, and an array of scrumptious desserts in the Magnolia Room or on the Garden veranda (weather permitting). Tea time is 3:00 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month. Cost is $15 for GWG members and $18 for non-members plus applicable tax. Seating is very limited so make your reservations early by purchasing tickets online or by calling 501-262-9300/800-366-4664. Go Hogs!

Group Tour at Garvan Gardens

With spacious garden entrances and turning radiuses specially designed with group tours in mind, plus complimentary admission for motorcoach drivers and escorts, Garvan Woodland Gardens is a must for your next tour booking. We are centrally located in the Mid South, just 5 hours from Branson, Missouri; 4 hours from Dallas; 3 hours from Memphis; and 7 hours from Kansas City and St. Louis.

Garvan Woodland Gardens is a member of the American Public Gardens Association, American Bus Association, and National Tour Association.

Hours of Operation:

  • Garvan Woodland Gardens is open 7 days a week:
  • Summer Hours: April 1 - September 30 (9 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
  • Winter Hours: October 1 - March 31 (10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
  • Holiday Lights Hours: Mid-November - December 31 (5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.)
  • The Garden is closed the month of January, as well as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
Group Tour Reservations

Group Rates:

  • With prior reservation, $6.25 (price includes tax) per person for groups of 20 or more non-GWG members via one form of payment. Two weeks notice preferable.
  • Guided Tours - A guided walking tour for groups or individuals is available for $37.80 (price includes tax) per Docent. Reservations for Docents must be booked two weeks in advance and prepaid.

Group Policies:

  • Reservations - Advance reservations for groups of 20 or more to receive group rate.
  • Guided Tours - A guided garden walking tour for groups or individuals is available for $37.80 (price includes tax) per Docent. Reservations for Docents must be booked & prepaid at least two weeks in advance.
  • Payment - With reservations, admissions may be paid upon arrival or prepaid.
    Customized catering must be confirmed two weeks in advance by deposit.
  • Cancellation - A minimum of 72 hours required to cancel a tour or a Docent.
    Catering must be canceled one week in advance for reimbursement of deposit.
  • Comp Policy
  • Miscellaneous - Garden is ADA accessible.
  • Golf cart rides available on a "first come, first served" basis at $6.48 (price includes tax) per seat in addition to the admission. Individuals may purchase these tickets at the admission counter on day of arrival. Seating is limited.

Motorcoach Accessability:

  • Extra-wide turning radiuses and no backing necessary.
